Soft Analog is a music band founded in 2019 in Ankara, Turkey. The band, which initially dreamed of making English music with the name “The Morning Tape,” gradually became Soft Analog with the addition of new members.
Soft Analog continues its rodeo with Ömer and İdil, who are the founders of the group. Ömer and İdil started their musical life by playing guitar and piano when they were children. The duo, who were high school friends, had stage experience in various activities by being in school groups. The experience they gained at an early age made a great contribution to the foundation of Soft Analog.
The inspiration of the band comes from the ’80s and ‘90s sound, clothing, and style. Soft Analog is especially influenced by the synthesizers of that time, drum machine, disco-funk bass and drum patterns, the old fashion (vintage) clothes, glasses, and color palette. They try to create a new production by combining these with the modern world. This nostalgic atmosphere in their compositions is immediately felt by those who know and are interested in the period.
